And So It Goes
Allegrezza's Spring Spectacular

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, warmth, and of course, beautiful music.

This past December was truly unforgettable for Allegrezza. For the first time ever, we sold out our Chicago holiday performance! We were standing room only. We could not be more thrilled and proud of the incredible turnout, and we are deeply grateful to those who graciously stood so that everyone could share in the experience. Seeing the church filled with so many familiar and new faces made it a magical evening and a fantastic holiday concert we will not soon forget.

Now, the Allegrezza Singers are hard at work preparing for our next concerts, AND SO IT GOES: Allegrezza’s Spring Spectacular. Join us on Friday, May 1 and Sunday, May 3, 2026 for an evening filled with pop music from many generations. It promises to be an energetic and memorable celebration of songs you know and love.

We are especially excited to announce that our Friday performance will take place in Chicago at St. Paul’s UCC in Lincoln Park, the very location of our first concert. Returning to where our journey began feels both meaningful and celebratory.

Our Sunday performance will continue at The Union Church of Hinsdale, where we always love singing for our wonderful western suburban audience.

More details about the program will be shared soon, and ticket sales will open in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your continued support of Allegrezza. Your enthusiasm and encouragement mean the world to us, and we cannot wait to share AND SO IT GOES with you this spring.

We look forward to seeing you in May.

History & Mission of NIJC

Mission
To establish and defend the legal rights of immigrants regardless of background and transform the immigration system to one that affords equal opportunity for all.

History
In 1984, a small group of attorneys founded the Midwest Immigrant Rights Center to provide legal representation to people from Haiti and Central America fleeing violence and persecution. Our goals were to defend the human rights of people who came to the United States in search of protection and to uphold the rule of law, irrespective of politics.
In its first year, the center served 82 people through a mostly volunteer network of 60 attorneys.
In the following decades, we grew into the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), a nationally recognized organization with a staff of more than 160 professionals and a network of 2,000-plus pro bono attorneys who provide legal services to more than 11,000 people every year.
For most of our history, NIJC operated as a program housed under a parent nonprofit organization. We became an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2024.
While the political and legal landscape immigrants face in the United States is constantly changing, NIJC’s mission and values have not. We continue to defend the rights and dignity of immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees and fight for justice in a deeply flawed system. We represent thousands of people each year in applications for legal status, defending individuals’ rights under the law to live in safety with their loved ones in the United States and to be free from violence and persecution.
