Happy Holidays!
What a weekend!
Thank you to every one of you who joined us, whether for one concert or both. Your presence filled the room, lifted the music, and reminded us why we do this. We’re proud to share that these were the most well-attended concerts in our history. That milestone belongs to all of us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Not only did your presence strengthen our organization, it empowered us to make a meaningful donation to the National Immigrant Justice Center. You can learn more about their vital work below.
Throughout the weekend, Stephen and I heard story after story—friends, family members, and loved ones carrying the weight of these past months. Your honesty, your vulnerability, your lived experience reminded us why this matters. Your stories made it unmistakably clear: this work is needed, and we must do everything we can to help.
We’ll be announcing our next concert dates soon, and we can’t wait to share what’s ahead. Until then, thank you—truly—for your unwavering support, your energy, and the heart you bring to this community.
If you feel moved to continue supporting either Allegrezza or the National Immigrant Justice Center, you’ll find the links below. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us keep lifting voices, telling stories, and doing work that matters.
With gratitude and hope for the season ahead,
Jonathan Pugh, President

History & Mission of NIJC
Mission To establish and defend the legal rights of immigrants regardless of background and transform the immigration system to one that affords equal opportunity for all. History In 1984, a small group of attorneys founded the Midwest Immigrant Rights Center to provide legal representation to people from Haiti and Central America fleeing violence and persecution. Our goals were to defend the human rights of people who came to the United States in search of protection and to uphold the rule of law, irrespective of politics. In its first year, the center served 82 people through a mostly volunteer network of 60 attorneys. In the following decades, we grew into the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), a nationally recognized organization with a staff of more than 160 professionals and a network of 2,000-plus pro bono attorneys who provide legal services to more than 11,000 people every year. For most of our history, NIJC operated as a program housed under a parent nonprofit organization. We became an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2024. While the political and legal landscape immigrants face in the United States is constantly changing, NIJC’s mission and values have not. We continue to defend the rights and dignity of immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees and fight for justice in a deeply flawed system. We represent thousands of people each year in applications for legal status, defending individuals’ rights under the law to live in safety with their loved ones in the United States and to be free from violence and persecution. 111 W. Jackson Blvd., Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60604 The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC, NFP) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 93-3878636). National Immigrant Justice Center and NIJC, NFP are registered in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. © 2011-2025 National Immigrant Justice Center |
