AUDITION INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in singing with Allegrezza. If you would like to audition for our upcoming season,  please fill out the form and read all of the information below carefully. Do not forget to download the excerpt for your audition. We will contact you to schedule your audition ASAP. 

We would hate to not hear you because we are booked. If we have more requests for auditions than we have time slots, we will add a day to the audition schedule.

Allegrezza is a community chorus. It does not pay its singing members to perform with the organization.

Please be ready for your audition with the following: ​

Prepare a solo in the genre of your choice.
Select material that shows off your voice and please bring a copy of the music in a binder for the pianist. This piece must be with piano accompaniment.

Please select your voice part below, download, and prepare the excerpt.
Prepare the excerpt, at tempo listed at the top of the excerpt.
The pianist will have this music on hand. You do not need to bring a copy for the pianist.

You may also be asked to do some vocalizing and/or a short sight-reading exercise.

Rehearsals & Performance Dates

Rehearsal Dates:
January 29 (First Rehearsal)
February 5, 12, 19, 26
March 5, 12, 19, 23, 26
April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Dress Rehearsal will be: 
Thursday May 2nd at the Chicago Temple. 
Rehearsal will start at 6:30.

Performances will be:
Friday May 3rd at the Chicago Temple at 7:30 PM
Sunday May 5th at the Union Church of Hinsdale at 3:00 PM
